Ted Tsung, CEO | CTO, AppCrown LLC
Theodore (“Ted”) Tsung founded AppCrown in 2010 to launch an integration software & services business that helps independent financial advisors connect 3rd party applications into Salesforce. Today, AppCrown supports nearly $425bn in AUA that is processed/integrated into Salesforce.
Ted brings nearly 30+ years of global fintech enterprise experience to the independent RIA industry. Prior to AppCrown, Ted Tsung was Chief Technology Officer for Thomson Financial (see Capital IQ Profile here) from 1998-2007. Before Thomson Financial, Ted Tsung founded digiTRADE, the first online trading/brokerage for the US, launching online capabilities across stocks, bonds, annuities for major financial institutions. digiTRADE, effectively, was the first internet Platform-as-a-Service (“PaaS”) model for institutional financial services.
Thomson Financial acquired digiTRADE in 1998 (CNET Press Release), incorporating the technology into Thomson ONE desktop for wealth management. Ted’s coverage quickly expanded from Thomson ONE desktop to thin client capabilities and BETA clearing.
